Engineering Technology I: A pre-engineering high school course to provide students interested in pursuing technical or engineering careers the foundation skills needed - from what it means to be an engineer, the different types of engineers, to many of technical job descriptions. Activities will include basic problem solving methods, a reverse engineering project, product development, precision measuring, generation of engineering graphics, 3D design and element analysis, computer programming and systems control, robotics design and construction using Mindstorms robotics, shop methodology, safety, and design prototyping in the construction of a CO2 dragster.
